With more than 1,600 works, the collection of the Frac MÉCA has been constituted since its creation in 1982\. From this collection, the FRAC develops actions to raise awareness of the art of our time towards the widest possible audience (individuals, groups, families, schools, people with disabilities...) throughout the region. Since 2019, the FRAC has been located at the MÉCA, a contemporary building funded by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region with the support of the State, in which it organizes several exhibitions per year and a whole series of cultural events (conferences, meetings, screenings, workshops...).

Free contribution from 2€ – Pay as you feel. Free entry on the first Sunday of the month. Free entrance for those under 18 years old. Free admission for holders of the Youth Card.
