Ausstellung vom 25. April bis 27. Oktober 2024:
Das letzte Projekt der DnA, die Umstellung der Steinbrüche von Huangyan, sieht die schrittweise Reaktivierung von 20.000 m2 stillgelegter Flächen vor. Die Ausstellung zeigt die Gestaltung dieser Felsstollen, Studien über das dort entstandene Ökosystem und den Dialog mit der Gemeinschaft.
In den letzten zehn Jahren wurde der Name Xu Tiantiantian mit zahlreichen Infrastrukturprojekten in ländlichen Gebieten Chinas in Verbindung gebracht. Indem er die Architektur als Hebel der territorialen Entwicklung betrachtet, verlässt sich der Architekt auf lokale Traditionen und Know-how, um neue Dynamiken auszulösen und die Wirtschaft der Gebiete neu zu beleben. In dieser langwierigen Arbeit war die Umwandlung eines alten Steinbruchs in einen öffentlichen Raum im Jahr 2019 ein Meilenstein. Allein in der Grafschaft Jinyun gibt es 3.000 verlassene Steinbrüche, ein Erbe mit enormem Potenzial für dieses chinesische Hinterland, das von der Landflucht geprägt ist und heute eine neue Berufung sucht.
Im Anschluss an diese erste Sanierungsmaßnahme sieht das Projekt zur Umstellung der Huangyan-Steinbrüche in der Stadt Taizhou die Rückgabe der Gemeinde und die schrittweise Reaktivierung von 20.000 m2 stillgelegten Flächen vor. Die Ausstellung widmet sich diesem neuen Projekt der DnA-Agentur, die 2004 von Xu Tiantian gegründet wurde, und zeigt die Einrichtung dieser Felsgalerien, Studien über das im Laufe der Jahre entstandene Ökosystem und der Dialog mit der lokalen Gemeinschaft, den der Architekt während der gesamten Bauphase aufgebaut hat.
Die Präsentation dieser höchst symbolischen Umstellung ist auch eine Gelegenheit, die Zukunft dieses industriellen Erbes auf lokaler Ebene in Frage zu stellen: nicht weniger als 1.400 Steinbrüche wurden in der Gironde in den letzten Jahren verzeichnet.

The latest project of the DnA agency, the reconversion of the stone quarries of Huangyan provides for the gradual reactivation of 20,000 m2 of disused spaces. The exhibition presents the development of these rock galleries, studies on the ecosystem that was formed and dialogue with the community.
For the past decade, the name Xu Tiantian has been associated with numerous infrastructure revitalization projects in rural China. By approaching architecture as a lever for territorial development, the architect relies on local traditions and know-how to initiate new dynamics and revitalize the economy of the territories. In this long-term work, the transformation of an old stone quarry into a public space in 2019 was a highlight. 3,000 abandoned quarries remain today in Jinyun County alone, a heritage with enormous potential for this Chinese hinterland deeply marked by rural exodus and today in search of a new vocation.
In the wake of this first restorative intervention, the project to redevelop the Huangyan stone quarries in Taizhou City provides for the return to the community and the gradual reactivation of 20,000 m2 of disused spaces. Dedicated to this new project of the agency DnA, founded by Xu Tiantian in 2004, the exhibition empty of stone presents the development of these rocky galleries, studies on the ecosystem that has formed over the years and dialogue with the local community set up by the architect throughout the construction site.
The presentation of this highly symbolic reconversion is also an opportunity to question the future of this industrial heritage at the local level: no less than 1,400 quarries have been identified in Gironde in recent years.

Ultimo progetto dell'agenzia dna, la riconversione delle cave di pietra di Huangyan prevede la progressiva riattivazione di 20.000 m2 di spazi abbandonati. La mostra presenta l'allestimento di queste gallerie rocciose, gli studi sull'ecosistema che vi si è formato e il dialogo con la comunità.
Da una decina di anni, il nome Xu Tiantian è stato associato a numerosi progetti di rivitalizzazione delle infrastrutture nelle zone rurali della Cina. Affrontando l'architettura come una leva di sviluppo territoriale, l'architetto si affida alle tradizioni e alle competenze locali per innescare nuove dinamiche e rivitalizzare l'economia dei territori. In questo lavoro a lungo termine, la trasformazione di una vecchia cava di pietra in uno spazio pubblico, nel 2019, ha rappresentato un punto saliente. 3.000 cave abbandonate rimangono infatti fino ad oggi nella sola contea di Jinyun, un patrimonio con un enorme potenziale per questo entroterra cinese profondamente segnato dall'esodo rurale e oggi alla ricerca di una nuova vocazione.
Sulla scia di questo primo intervento riparatore, il progetto di riconversione delle cave di pietra da taglio di Huangyan nella città di Taizhou prevede la restituzione alla comunità e la progressiva riattivazione di 20.000 m2 di spazi abbandonati. Dedicata a questo nuovo progetto dell'agenzia dna, fondata da Xu Tiantian nel 2004, la mostra vuota di pietra presenta la sistemazione di queste gallerie rocciose, gli studi sull'ecosistema che vi si è formato nel corso degli anni e il dialogo con la comunità locale instaurato dall'architetto durante tutto il cantiere.
La presentazione di questa riconversione altamente simbolica è anche l'occasione per mettere in discussione il futuro di questo patrimonio industriale a livello locale: non meno di 1.400 cave sono state censite in Gironda negli ultimi anni.

Dernier projet de l’agence DnA, la reconversion des carrières de pierre de Huangyan prévoit la réactivation progressive de 20 000 m2 d’espaces désaffectés. L’exposition présente l’aménagement de ces galeries rocheuses, les études sur l’écosystème qui s’y est formé et le dialogue avec la communauté.

Depuis une dizaine d’années, le nom de Xu Tiantian a été associé à de nombreux projets de revitalisation d’infrastructures dans des régions rurales de Chine. En abordant l’architecture comme un levier de développement territorial, l’architecte s’appuie sur les traditions et les savoir-faire locaux pour enclencher de nouvelles dynamiques et revitaliser l’économie des territoires. Dans ce travail de longue haleine, la transformation d’une ancienne carrière de pierre en un espace public, en 2019, a représenté un point marquant. 3 000 carrières abandonnées subsistent en effet à ce jour dans le seul comté de Jinyun, un patrimoine avec un énorme potentiel pour cet arrière-pays chinois profondément marqué par l’exode rural et aujourd’hui en quête d’une nouvelle vocation.
S’inscrivant dans le sillage de cette première intervention réparatrice, le projet de reconversion des carrières de pierre de taille de Huangyan dans la ville de Taizhou prévoit la restitution à la communauté et la réactivation progressive de 20 000 m2 d’espaces désaffectés. Consacrée à ce nouveau projet de l’agence DnA, fondée par Xu Tiantian en 2004, l’exposition vides de pierre présente l’aménagement de ces galeries rocheuses, les études sur l’écosystème qui s’y est formé au fil des années et le dialogue avec la communauté locale mis en place par l’architecte tout au long du chantier.
La présentation de cette reconversion hautement symbolique est également l’occasion de questionner le futur de ce patrimoine industriel au niveau local : pas moins de 1 400 carrières ayant été recensées en Gironde au cours des dernières années.

Último proyecto de la agencia dna, la reconversión de las canteras de piedra de Huangyan prevé la reactivación progresiva de 20.000 m2 de espacios en desuso. La exposición presenta el desarrollo de estas galerías rocosas, los estudios sobre el ecosistema que se formó allí y el diálogo con la comunidad.
Desde hace una década, el nombre de Xu Tiantian se ha asociado a numerosos proyectos de revitalización de infraestructuras en zonas rurales de China. Al abordar la arquitectura como una palanca de desarrollo territorial, el arquitecto se apoya en las tradiciones y los conocimientos locales para poner en marcha nuevas dinámicas y revitalizar la economía de los territorios. En este largo trabajo, la transformación de una antigua cantera de piedra en un espacio público en 2019 fue un hito. De hecho, sólo en el condado de Jinyun existen 3.000 canteras abandonadas, un patrimonio con un enorme potencial para este interior chino profundamente marcado por el éxodo rural y hoy en busca de una nueva vocación.
Siguiendo la estela de esta primera intervención reparadora, el proyecto de reconversión de las canteras de piedra tallada de Huangyan en la ciudad de Taizhou prevé la restitución a la comunidad y la reactivación progresiva de 20.000 m2 de espacios en desuso. Dedicado a este nuevo proyecto de la agencia dna, fundada por Xu Tiantian en 2004, la exposición vacía de piedra presenta el diseño de estas galerías rocosas, los estudios sobre el ecosistema que se ha formado allí a lo largo de los años y el diálogo con la comunidad local establecido por el arquitecto a lo largo de la obra.
La presentación de esta reconversión altamente simbólica es también una ocasión para cuestionar el futuro de este patrimonio industrial a nivel local: no menos de 1.400 carreras han sido registradas en Gironda en los últimos años.
