Discover Henri Godefroy (1837-1913), the first photographer solicited by the Commission du Vieux Paris in 1898 and founder, at the beginning of the 1900s, of an exceptionally inventive museum dedicated to his passion, the Vieux Paris. A daring artist, a virtuoso of photomontage, sometimes a precursor to humanist photography, Henri Godefroy can also transform an architectural photograph commissioned into a genre scenography with a remarkable composition.
