The city of Nogent (through its 3 cultural services: media library, museum, theatre) participates in BD 2020!
This project is based on comic books and is aimed at the school public, including 4 classes from Nogent Primary School (Cycle 3) and a 4th class from Nogent College. This will take place during the 2019/20 school year.
The goal is to introduce students to the world of comic books by working with a cartoonist to create their own comic book afterwards. Sylvain Aimes, a Chaumontais artist, will be in charge of this project; he produces comic books in the «clear line» style, like the adventures of Intin.
Museum Visit: September/October 2019
Writing work for the invention (during the first sessions in the museum and/or in class afterwards): October/November 2019;
1st session with the cartoonist at the media library: «What is a comic strip and how it is realized?»: November 2019;
4 classroom interventions with the cartoonist to learn how to create a comic book (media library staff will accompany these workshops): December 2019/January/February 2020;
Restitution of work on 14/02/2020. A comic strip in A4 format containing the 5 stories from the 5 classes selected for the project around the same hero will be printed. Each student will receive a comic book as a gift at the end of this project.
