Both theatrical and unpredictable, this drawn concert is at the crossroads of different musical genres and directly inspired by drawing.
Blast is part of this new musical trend influenced by current music (rock, pop and electronic music) and stemming from jazz. To these currents is added the integration of sampled dialogues weaving a strong link between cinema and comic strip, universes dear to the aesthetics of the group. The result is a very expressive and volcanic music. The same energy animates them: that of creating their own musical direction
Through exchanges and experiences with other artists and audiences.
In Spring 2017, a meeting takes place between the group Blast and the cartoonist Benjamin Flao, rising arrow of the French comic strip, during the opening night of the Lyon BD Festival at the Periscope of Lyon. The love at first sight between the two universes is immediate: the complicity born between the musicians and the designer by the spontaneous interaction between the image and the sound material immediately wins the audience’s support.

À la fois théâtral et imprévisible, ce concert dessiné est à la croisée de différents genres musicaux et directement inspiré par le dessin.
Blast fait partie de ce nouveau courant musical influencé par les musiques actuelles (rock, pop et les musiques électroniques) et issu du jazz. À ces courants s’ajoute l’intégration de dialogues samplés tissant un lien fort entre cinéma et bande dessiné, univers chers à l’esthétique du groupe. Il en résulte une musique très expressive et volcanique. Une même énergie les anime : celle de créer leur propre direction musicale
en se nourrissant des échanges et expériences avec d’autres artistes et le public.
Au Printemps 2017, une rencontre s’opère entre le groupe Blast et le dessinateur Benjamin Flao, flèche montante de la BD hexagonale, lors de la soirée d’ouverture du Lyon BD Festival au Périscope de Lyon. Le coup de foudre entre les deux univers est immédiat : la complicité qui naît entre les musiciens et le dessinateur par l’interaction spontanée entre l’image et la matière sonore remporte immédiatement l’adhésion du public.
