Ensemble Amalgame in concert
For its first production of 2023, Ensemble Amalgame wishes to offer a program that stands out from its previous concerts. He wishes to concentrate his work around chamber music, in order to highlight the musicians of the ensemble in a work different from that of symphonic orchestral music.
This first program is built around a diptych: the Serenade for Strings by Antonín Dvořák and the Wind Dixtuor in D major, opus 14 by Georges Enesco. These two pieces, separating the strings and the winds, make it possible to make the two families of instruments resonate and dialogue, by highlighting them in pieces composed specifically for them. The concept of this concert makes it possible to highlight the particular qualities of strings and winds, first in separate pieces, then, as an encore, in a piece bringing them together, Béla Bartók's Six Romanian Popular Dances.
Ensemble Amalgame will perform in concert with this program on June 4 at 5 p.m. at Studio Agostini in Geneva.
