Quartet of masculine voices(votes), Barbara Furtuna works
on a secular and sacred polyphonic directory by evaporating(disclosing)
the learnt mixture between traditional singings(songs) and creation
lyric.
Faithful to the traditions of the island, to his(her,its) values and to sound
history(story), Barbara Furtuna opened an artistic way, also
original that peculiar, refusing to let lock
in pictures(clichés) and stereotypical directories.
Created fifteen years ago at the heart of Nebbiu, in Corsica,
Barbara Furtuna travels the world today: from banks
from the Mediterranean Sea in the New York rooms, villages
from Corsica to the distant Asia.
Collaborations with the baroque set(group) Arpeggiata
or the tenor Placido Domingo(leading light Placido Domingo), with the Belgian musicians of
Belem or more recently in duet with Roberto Alagna,
four artists make beam the Corsican language(tongue) very beyond
his(her,its) borders.
They confer on him(her,it) so an universal message of tolerance,
a helping hand(hand stretched) above differences.

The church Saint-Fargheon was édifi ée in the XIIth century on the initiative of the monks of the abbey limousine of Port(Bearing)-God. Its elegant south portal(gate) in the numerous slightly broken archings and the fi nes small columns, resembles the Romanesque art of very close Limousin. The end of the church, worth knowing(namely) the bedhead, is as for him typically from Auvergne. The Romanic capitals(big tops) of the édifi it present interesting ornamental motives among which that thinks of thieves of gooses. Two naked characters, the one endowed with big(great) wings, other one of smaller give their hand surrounding a fowl raised(drawn up) on his legs and spreading(displaying) his own appendixes.
