Arnaga – Edmund Rostand museum
Before being a museum, Arnaga was a dream, that of a big(great) author of last century, Edmund Rostand. This house, he passionately wished it, imagined and conceived(designed) in greatest detail. The house of neoBasque apparait style traditional outside. The inside is handled as a sumptuous stage set.
Around this large house, Edmund Rostand creates set(group) of gardens on more than 15 hectares which manifest the duality assumed(accepted) by their author: of a highly-rated wealth, ostentation, of other one mild person and close friend.
Having quoted(esteemed) raising Sun, he(it) implants a "French-style" garden. In the background, the Pyrenean mountains. A big(great) pergola seems to close the space of the garden. In front of, three plans follow one another: a big(great) flowerbed(orchestra) of annual flowers, a big(great) ornamental pond where is reflected the house, lawns lined with topiary which frame(supervise) the channel(canal).
Highly-rated sleeping, spreads(displays) an "English-style" garden alloying greenery and mineral curves. Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Dogwoods of Florida take turns flourishing throughout the year. Other gasolines(essences) of which Cryptomerias of Japan offers a pallet of scents, of colours and in forms which awaken senses.
Arnaga is classified as "Historic Monument", certified " Remarkable Garden ", " remarkable Trees " and «Houses of the Famous».
