Église Saint-Michel

The Saint-Michel church is a neo-Romanesque jewel built in 1874 after the destruction of the first church in the village in 1870\. It is a church dedicated to reconciliation between the German and French people. The work of this Catholic church was carried out according to the plans of the architect of Wissembourg, Roehrich, drawn up in 1872\. The church has a bell tower-porch, pierced by a semicircular door, flanked by columns with cubic capitals. On each side of the door, there is a semicircular window. Above the door, you can see an openwork rose window. The last level of the bell tower is pierced with twin bays with blind oculus. The bell tower is covered with an eight-sided arrow. Six buttresses support the choir of the church. Inside, in front of the entrance, the gallery whose sandstone railing is decorated with an open arch, is supported by three semicircular arches.
