In a Renaissance building, the Museum presents collections and techniques of the popular Alsatian image. The souvenir images, hand-painted, cut in a canivet or painted under glass, testify to the stages of life of the Alsatians of yesteryear. Memories of baptisms, confirmations, marriages, etc., these images are the fragile and sensitive heritage of an Alsatian thought and popular art that some contemporary artists reinterpret and thus make endure.
