The castle is located at the entrance of the picturesque village of Autigny La Tour built in a circus dug by the Vair. The visitor enters the property through a monumental Renaissance porch and enters a courtyard of honour framed by two towers dating from the 16th century. The south-facing lounges give access to a terrace decorated by a marble statue representing an ephebe. A majestic chestnut tree of more than 200 years delimits this terrace. Two alleys lead to a grove that houses an old cooler and a factory.
The terrace overlooks a regular garden. It is accessed by a double revolution staircase, whose porch is framed by two Louis XV style firepots.

The castle of Autigny La Tour dates back to the 12th century. Placed under the prerogative of the brother of the Duke of Lorraine Ferry III, the land passed into the hands of the illustrious Chatelet family until the 16th century. Jean Blaise de Mauléon then built a new residence from which remain the entrance portal and the two corner towers. From 1711, the Counts of Kinigl and Goudrecourt successively landscaped the castle as we see it today. Sold as a national property in 1793, the castle passed into various hands during the nineteenth century: those of Jean-Claude Cherrier, first sub-prefect of Neufchâteau, who kept this property for about ten years, then those of the Panichot family, one of whose daughters marries the Count of Pontlevoy. Two generations of this family succeeded each other in Autigny. In 1920, the castle was ceded to a new owner.
