Every year, thousands of people try to cross the Mediterranean Sea after fleeing unsustainable situations in their countries of origin or on the migratory route. This exhibition of photographs, taken from reports made on board the Ocean Viking, offers an immersion in the heart of the missions carried out by SOS Méditerranée, an association born in the spring of 2015 from the mobilization of citizens determined to act in the face of the humanitarian disaster of the shipwrecks in the Central Mediterranean, the most deadly migratory maritime route in the world.
A mediator from the association will be present on Wednesday afternoons of 30 September and 7 October.

Chaque année, des milliers de personnes tentent de traverser la mer Méditerranée après avoir fui des situations insoutenables dans leur pays d’origine ou sur la route migratoire. Cette exposition de photographies, issues de reportages réalisés à bord de l’Ocean Viking, propose une immersion au cœur des missions menées par SOS Méditerranée, une association née au printemps 2015 de la mobilisation de citoyennes et de citoyens résolu.e.s à agir face à la catastrophe humanitaire des naufrages en Méditerranée centrale, la route maritime migratoire la plus mortelle au monde.
Un médiateur de l’association sera présent les mercredis 30 septembre et 7 octobre après-midi.

Elk jaar proberen duizenden mensen de Middellandse Zee over te steken nadat ze op de vlucht zijn voor onhoudbare situaties in hun land van herkomst of op de migratieroute. Deze tentoonstelling van foto's, afkomstig van rapporten aan boord van de Ocean Viking, biedt een onderdompeling in het hart van de missies onder leiding van SOS Méditerranée, Een vereniging die in het voorjaar van 2015 is ontstaan uit de mobilisatie van burgers die vastbesloten zijn op te treden tegen de humanitaire ramp van de scheepswrakken in het Midden-Middellandse Zeegebied, de dodelijkste migrerende maritieme route ter wereld.
Een bemiddelaar van de vereniging zal aanwezig zijn op woensdag 30 september en 7 oktober namiddag.
