As usual, Lionel Gaudin-Villard - conductor of the Orchestre Symphonique de Gironde - appropriates one of the most popular fairy tales to offer a new dazzling program of music accompanied by an actress.

With this new creation, freely inspired by Hansel and Gretel, the music has a place of choice because it accompanies with accuracy all the adventures and misadventures of our young heroes. With multiple musical pages, the audience will go from laughter and tenderness to fear! Everything is a pretext for music: from Franz Schubert to John Williams, a real symphonic journey from romanticism to film music led at a frantic pace by our storyteller. The idea here is to show the link that music can have with the different actions of a tale, with the different atmospheres but also the link with the feelings of the characters. The grandmother is adored by the whole family and Schubert's warm music magnifies her gentle and benevolent character.

Among other examples: the children's fear will be personified by "Le Petit Poucet" from Man Mère l'oye by French composer Maurice Ravel; the wicked witch will be personified by an excerpt from Modest Moussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain; the battle between the children and the witch will be symbolized by the excerpt "La Bataille" from the ballet The Nutcracker by Pyotr Tchaikovsky...
