Benjamin Appl, Lionel Cottet and Jorge Viladoms. Voice, cello and piano
Benjamin Appl, a German baritone acclaimed worldwide, presents a programme centred on the themes of water and travel, accompanied by Lionel Cottet and Jorge Viladoms. In three parts, he traces the journey of a traveller separated from his beloved: the departure, the night-time crossing, then the absence and the final sense of peace. A narrative thread links pieces from the great German, French and South American repertoire for voice, cello and piano.
Works by Schumann, Brahms, Strauss, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Fauré and Villa-Lobos
