How come we’re all looking in the same direction? How come we can see something that doesn’t exist? Can we live in a society, belong to a group and not all think the same way?
True/False (cross out unnecessary mention) is an interactive and theatrical mental magic show. Optical illusions intrigue and amuse while bringing illusion back to the field of rationality. But psychological experiences and magical effects become troubling: magician Lauren Legras guesses secretly chosen words, reveals memories and personal thoughts of the audience, anticipates the choices of a spectator. Paranormal power? Psychological manipulation? Or magic trick?
A discussion then engages with the public and opens the debate on philosophical, social and political issues.

Vrai/Faux (rayez la mention inutile) est un spectacle de magie mentale interactive et théâtrale. Les illusions d’optiques intriguent et amusent tout en ramenant l’illusion sur le terrain de la rationalité. Mais les expériences psychologiques et les effets magiques deviennent troublants : la magicienne Lauren Legras devine des mots choisis secrètement, révèle des souvenirs et des pensées personnelles du public, prévoit à l’avance les choix d’un spectateur. Pouvoir paranormal ? Manipulation psychologique ? Ou trucage de prestidigitation ?
Une discussion s’engage alors avec le public et permet d’ouvrir le débat sur des questions philosophiques, sociales et politiques.

Optische illusies intriges en amusement, terwijl illusie weer terug naar het veld van rationaliteit wordt gebracht. Maar psychologische ervaringen en magische effecten worden verontrustend: Goochelaar Lauren Legras raadt in het geheim gekozen woorden, onthult herinneringen en persoonlijke gedachten van het publiek, anticipeert op de keuzes van een toeschouwer. Paranormale kracht? Psychologische manipulatie? Of een goocheltruc?
Een discussie gaat dan in gesprek met het publiek en opent het debat over filosofische, sociale en politieke kwesties.
