Traditional customs, crafts and stories are commemorated with love, gentle irony and an open gaze, in works of art that range from tapestries and sand sculptures to installations around finches competitions and processions.
The exhibition brings together works by national and international, established and emerging artists. With humor and (self-)criticism, they ask questions about the value and constraints of traditions, their ecological and social sustainability, the uniqueness and universality of our particularities, about who is "us" (and who is not).

Les coutumes traditionnelles, l'artisanat et les récits sont commémorés avec amour, une ironie douce et un regard ouvert, dans des œuvres d'art qui vont des tapisseries et sculptures de sable aux installations autour des concours de pinsons et des processions.
L'exposition rassemble des œuvres d'artistes nationaux et internationaux, établis et émergents. Avec humour et (auto)critique, ils posent des questions sur la valeur et les contraintes des traditions, sur leur durabilité écologique et sociale, sur l'unicité et l'universalité de nos particularités, sur qui est « nous » (et qui ne l'est pas).

Traditionele gewoonten, ambachten en verhalen worden herdacht met liefde, zachte ironie en een open look, in kunstwerken die variëren van wandtapijten en zandsculpturen tot installaties rond vinken wedstrijden en processies.
De tentoonstelling brengt werken van gevestigde en opkomende nationale en internationale kunstenaars samen. Met humor en (zelf)kritiek stellen ze vragen over de waarde en beperkingen van tradities, over hun ecologische en sociale duurzaamheid, over de uniciteit en universaliteit van onze eigenaardigheden, over wie "wij" is (en wie niet).
