Interphaz - Europe Direct is organizing a conference on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the city council chamber at City Hall, devoted to the future of the common agricultural policy (CAP). Free entry.
In partnership with the University of Lille, the City of Villeneuve d'Ascq and the association Citoyen d'Europe, dedicated to the future of the common agricultural policy (CAP) in the next multiannual financial framework of the European Union.
This meeting will bring together several speakers to discuss the challenges and prospects of the CAP in the future European budgetary framework:
- Pierre Mayence, professor-researcher in sociology, specialist in the Common Agricultural Policy;
- Sophie Hélaine, Head of Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI);
- Maéva Michel, agriculture project manager at the Brussels office of the Hauts-de-France Region
- David Cormand, French MEP from the Green group (subject)
A time for discussion to better understand the European budgetary guidelines and their implications for agriculture and local authorities.

En partenariat avec l’Université de Lille, la Ville de Villeneuve d’Ascq et l’association Citoyen d’Europe, consacrée à l’avenir de la politique agricole commune (PAC) dans le prochain cadre financier pluri-annuel de l’Union européenne.
Cette rencontre réunira plusieurs intervenants pour échanger sur les enjeux et les perspectives de la PAC dans le futur cadre budgétaire européen :
- Pierre Mayence, enseignant-chercheur en sociologie, spécialiste de la Politique Agricole Commune;
- Sophie Hélaine, cheffe d’unité à la direction générale de l’agriculture et du développement rural (DG AGRI) de la Commission européenne ;
- Maéva Michel, chargée de mission agriculture au bureau de Bruxelles de la Région Hauts-de-France
- David Cormand, député européen français du groupe des Verts (sous réserve)
Un temps d’échange pour mieux comprendre les orientations budgétaires européennes et leurs implications pour l’agriculture et les territoires.

Interphaz - Europe Direct organiseert op donderdag 12 november 2026 om 18 uur in het stadhuis van de Raad een conferentie over de toekomst van het gemeenschappelijk landbouwbeleid (GLB). Gratis toegang.
In samenwerking met de Universiteit van Lille, de stad Villeneuve d'Ascq en de Europese burgervereniging, die zich in het volgende meerjarig financieel kader van de Europese Unie heeft gewijd aan de toekomst van het gemeenschappelijk landbouwbeleid (GLB).
Tijdens deze bijeenkomst zullen verschillende sprekers de uitdagingen en vooruitzichten van het GLB in het toekomstige Europese begrotingskader bespreken:
- Pierre Mayence, hoogleraar en onderzoeker sociologie, specialist in het gemeenschappelijk landbouwbeleid;
- Sophie Hélaine, afdelingshoofd van het directoraat-generaal Landbouw en plattelandsontwikkeling (DG AGRI) van de Europese Commissie;
- Maéva Michel, verantwoordelijk voor landbouw bij het Brusselse kantoor van de regio Hauts-de-France
- David Cormand, Frans lid van de Fractie de Groenen (onder voorbehoud)
Een tijd voor discussie om de Europese begrotingsrichtsnoeren en de gevolgen daarvan voor de landbouw en de gebieden beter te begrijpen.
