Give birth? To feed death?», «I discover with astonishment that I won’t have time to surprise anyone», «I want to kill. Kill since nothing matters anymore », « Let it end and last at the same time... Les scientifiques sont formels. La fin du monde est annoncée. Dans la panique tout s’emballe pour les personnages de cette dystopie : « Je dois savoir tous les goûts de la vie », « Mes patients n’auront pas le temps de guérir », « Je ne laisserai pas la vie se finir sans avoir commencé », « Qu’est-ce qu’il me reste maintenant ? Accoucher ? Pour nourrir la mort ? », « Je découvre avec stupeur que je n’aurai pas le temps de surprendre qui que ce soit », « Je veux tuer. Tuer puisque plus rien ne compte », « Que ça finisse et que ça dure en même temps...J’adore ». Que faire de toutes ses pulsions quand on est pressé de vivre ? Chaque action devient à la fois urgente et déjà inutile dans cette apocalypse des temps modernes. À chacun sa manière d’appréhender la catastrophe.

In paniek vliegt alles naar de karakters van deze dystopie: «Ik moet alle levenssmaken kennen», «Mijn patiënten zullen geen tijd hebben om te genezen», «ik zal het leven niet laten eindigen zonder begonnen te zijn», «wat heb ik nu nog over? Bevallen? Om de dood te voeden?", «ik ontdek met verbazing dat ik geen tijd heb om iemand te verrassen», «ik wil doden. Doden omdat er niets meer toe doet », « laat het eindigen en op hetzelfde moment... Ik vind het geweldig ». Wat te doen met al je impulsen als je haast hebt om te leven? Elke actie wordt zowel dringend als al nutteloos in deze hedendaagse apocalyps. Aan elk hun eigen manier om de ramp te pakken.
