In addition to his many botanical projects, the major achievements of Charles Baehni (1906-1964), the post-war director of the Geneva Botanical Garden, were the standardisation of the Conservatoire botanique's collections. A tropical botanist who saw himself as the ambassador of French botany in Switzerland, his successor Jacques Miège (1914-1993) was the great builder of the Geneva Botanical Garden during the Glorious Thirty.

En sus de ses nombreux travaux botaniques, la normalisation et la standardisation des collections du Conservatoire botanique ont été les grands accomplissements de Charles Baehni (1906-1964), le directeur des CJBG dans l'après-guerre. Botaniste tropicaliste, se considérant comme l'ambassadeur de la botanique française en Suisse, son successeur Jacques Miège (1914-1993) a été le grand bâtisseur des CJBG durant les Trente Glorieuses
