Artiste majeure du cinéma expérimental et du militantisme queer des cinquante dernières années, l’américaine Barbara Hammer (1939-2019) n’a eu de cesse d’habiter cet écran invisible et de lutter pour une représentation juste — et prolifique — des personnes lesbiennes et queer. Son œuvre singulière questionne l’intime, la représentation des sexualités lesbiennes, l’histoire queer, jusqu’à la confrontation à la mort. Une plongée palpitante et éclairante au cœur de l’exaltation à créer, de l’excitation à aimer librement et de l’impériosité à laisser trace.
