In Sturbzep, the theme is hoaxes. From the Loch Ness Monster to Andy Kaufman’s atomic pranks, and from 19th-century women writers who used male pseudonyms, the Zerep theater company, led by Sophie Perez, returns more determined than ever with a “catastrophic” show where beauty and deception reign supreme. In an era where fake news is replacing reality, this dissonant and critical fantasy takes us on a journey between truth and falsehood, with the exuberant theatricality, grotesque tone, caustic humor, and blend of popular chaos and avant-garde refinement that characterize them.
Sophie Lenoir, Stéphane Roger, Erge Yu, Alfred Bastien, and the industrial music duo formed by Danielle de Picciotto and Alexander Hacke will be the heroes of this theatrical fable where spectacle triumphs over reason.

Dans Sturbzep, le sujet c’est les canulars. Du monstre du Loch Ness aux farces atomiques d’Andy Kaufman en passant par les écrivaines du XIXe aux pseudonymes masculins, la compagnie du Zerep menée par Sophie Perez revient plus opiniâtre que jamais avec un spectacle « catastrophe » où la beauté et la supercherie règnent. A l’ère où les fake news se substituent au réel, cette fantaisie dissonante et critique nous balade entre le vrai et le faux, avec la théâtralité débordante, le ton grotesque, le rire caustique, le mélange de bordel populaire et de raffinement avant-gardiste qui les caractérisent.
Sophie Lenoir, Stéphane Roger, Erge Yu, Alfred Bastien, et le duo de musique industrielle formé par Danielle de Picciotto et Alexander Hacke seront les héros de cette fable théâtrale où le spectaculaire l’emporte sur la raison.
