To mark French language week and echo the "dis-moi dix mots sur le podium" (tell me ten words on the podium) operation, a meeting will be held to discuss the new Swiss magazine "Les sports modernes" (Modern sports). This magazine is published by the Association pour la valorisation des archives et de l'histoire des sports (Association for the promotion of sports archives and history), which looks at the transformation of societies through the study of sports.
This meeting will allow us to discuss around the first issue entitled "The mountain, territory of the modern?"
Speakers: Philippe Vonnard, historian (University of Lausanne and Fribourg), member of the Editorial Board and Christophe Jaccoud, sociologist, Associate Professor at the University of Neuchâtel and co-director of the magazine
Places are limited, and reservations must be made by e-mail to biblio.meg@ville-ge.ch, stating your full name, telephone number and the number of people accompanying you.
