La Coulou is celebrating its 40th anniversary 40 years of solidarity, commitment and the fight against precarious living conditions in Geneva. That is certainly something worth celebrating. And let’s do it together!
Donnerstag 5 November, 18:00

To celebrate four decades of working to support people living on the streets, in substandard accommodation or in need, the Carrefour-Rue & Coulou Foundation is organising a large community festival, which is free and open to everyone. An evening centred on sharing, solidarity, socialising and a sense of community, true to the philosophy that has driven the Foundation since its inception: an unconditional, non-judgemental, direct and easily accessible welcome.
The official part of the event will take place in the presence of Mr Thierry Apothéloz and Ms Christina Kitsos, with a special appearance by Marie-Thérèse Porchet, who will act as master of ceremonies. Mr Noël Constant, chairman of the Carrefour-Rue & Coulou Foundation, will also take the floor to reflect on these four decades of commitment.
The evening will continue with a complimentary meal, concerts by big names from the international music scene, and an ‘all-style’ disco hosted by DJ St-Xavier.
Programme for the evening
True to the values of hospitality and sharing that have driven La Coulou since its inception, this celebration is intended, above all, to be a grassroots, inclusive and unifying event.
La Coulou fête ses 40 ans! 40 ans de solidarité, d’engagement et de lutte contre la précarité à Genève. Voilà qui mérite d’être célébré. Et ensemble !
