Graves appellation open days!
For two days at the end of the grape harvest, the Syndicat Viticole des Graves is inviting the public to explore this vineyard steeped in history and meet the winegrowers who make it so rich.
It's a unique opportunity to experience an unforgettable sensory and tasting adventure in an intimate and authentic setting. On 14 and 15 October 2023, from 10am to 7pm, 69 châteaux will be opening their doors and offering free events, tours and tastings.
Among the many activities on offer, here are just a few that are sure to delight visitors:
- Horse-drawn carriage ride through the vines at Château Le Tuquet in Beautiran
- A visit to the Château des Fougères Clos Montesquieu in La Brède, a magnificent château open only two days a year for its open house programme
- First flight over the vines at Château Vénus in Illats
- Treasure hunt, DJ set by the group L'Orangeade and performance by two dancers from the Opéra de Bordeaux at Château Jouvente in Illats
- Initiation to plant picking in the vineyards of Château de Cérons in Cérons, herbalist workshop
Finally, during the two days, the Bordeaux Wine School is offering introductory tasting sessions at the Maison des Vins de Graves (Podensac). A 45-minute course to learn all the keys, priced at 5 euros.
