Dalí & Gaudí at the Bassins des Lumières
Long programme: "Dalí, the endless enigma"
In 2023, the Bassins des Lumières will celebrate the incomparable and singular works of Salvador Dalí.
This immersive exhibition presents more than 60 creative years of the Catalan master who, inspired by cubism, surrealism and futurism, became a master of a realism meticulously applied to canvas, mixing reality with the mysteries of consciousness, fantasies and memories.
In the course of a thematic tour, the visitor wanders through the surreal and metaphysical landscapes of the artist's overflowing imagination. His works have been exhibited throughout the world (Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, The Dalí Museum in Florida, Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, MoMA in New York, etc.) and invite the spectator to wander through his very special dreamlike universe.
Short programme: "Gaudí, architect of the imagination
This digital creation looks back at the art of Antonio Gaudí, a great source of inspiration for Dalí.
His works from the beginning of the 20th century, initially described as whimsical and provocative, were strongly defended by Dalí. This immersive exhibition pays tribute to this architectural genius through his buildings, which are now listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
