A major artisan of independent theatre in Egypt, Ahmed El Attar lives between Cairo and Paris and offers, on the world stage, an original, unpredictable and offbeat performance in which he puts himself in "I".
Alone on stage, sitting on a chair, herself on a concrete block, the man of the theater makes slices of life scroll through his life. Moments lived, fragments recomposed, reconstructed with each show to make it always the same and different.
Thus, correspondence with his father, love letters, official documents, military certificate appear on a screen, while he imitates, with distant neutrality, his recorded telephone conversations.
These intimate confessions are combined with moments of history being written in his country, especially when he looks at his diary kept during the Revolution during the days of fever, in February 2011 on Tahrir Square.
Ahmed El Attar plays on being himself, plays with the intimate and the collective, shows a more complex identity than we want to see it. I am himself. Ahmed El Attar is... him.

Grande artigiano del teatro indipendente in Egitto, Ahmed El Attar vive tra il Cairo e Parigi e offre sui palcoscenici del mondo una performance originale, imprevedibile e fuori dagli schemi, nella quale si mette in "io".
Da solo in scena, seduto su una sedia, essa stessa su un blocco di cemento, l'uomo di teatro scorre scorci di vita, della sua vita. Momenti vissuti, frammenti ricomposti, ricostruiti ad ogni spettacolo per renderlo sempre uguale e diverso.
Così, le corrispondenze con suo padre, lettere d'amore, documenti ufficiali, certificato militare appaiono su uno schermo, mentre imita, con una neutralità distante, le sue conversazioni telefoniche registrate.
Queste confessioni intime si combinano con i momenti della storia che si sta scrivendo nel suo paese, in particolare quando esamina il suo diario tenuto durante la Rivoluzione nei giorni di febbre, nel febbraio 2011 in piazza Tahrir.
Ahmed El Attar gioca a essere se stesso, interpreta l'intimo e il collettivo, mostra un'identità più complessa di quanto si voglia vedere. Io sono se stesso. Ahmed El Attar è... lui.

Gran artesano del teatro independiente en Egipto, Ahmed El Attar vive entre El Cairo y París y ofrece, sobre las escenas del mundo, una actuación original, imprevisible y desfasada, en la que se pone en «yo».
Solo en el escenario, sentado en una silla, ella misma sobre un bloque de hormigón, el hombre de teatro desfila segmentos de su vida, de su vida. Momentos vividos, fragmentos reconstituidos, reconstruidos en cada espectáculo para hacerlo siempre igual y diferente.
Así, las correspondencias con su padre, cartas de amor, documentos oficiales, certificado militar aparecen en una pantalla, mientras imita, con una neutralidad distante, sus conversaciones telefónicas grabadas.
Estas confesiones íntimas se conjugan con los momentos de la historia que se está escribiendo en su país, en particular cuando examina su diario llevado durante la Revolución durante los días de fiebre, en febrero de 2011 en la plaza Tahrir.
Ahmed El Attar juega a ser él mismo, toca lo íntimo y lo colectivo, muestra una identidad más compleja de la que se quiere ver. Yo soy él mismo. Ahmed El Attar es... él.
