The voice of Mediterranean icons
On the occasion of the great highlight around Arabic languages at the Cité, Camélia Jordana gives voice to the divas and icons who have enchanted both sides of the Mediterranean for decades, circulating Greek, Persian, French, Arabic and Spanish in a dialogue between past and present.
It must be said that the singer is often where she is not expected, taking a real pleasure in muddying the cards, to go where her desire and convictions lead her, with an artistic curiosity and a creative appetite that no career plan could subjugate.
From Oum Kalthoum to Fairuz, from Maria Callas to Estrella Morente, Camélia Jordana gives the «la» of this vibrant musical tribute alongside the comedians and singers Estelle Meyer and Sonia Faidi, the flamenco dancer Rubèn Molina and the Moroccan musician Mhamed El Menjra. A show to be experienced in the magnificent setting of the courtyard of the Uffizi, at nightfall.
