Discovering the Cairoli Garden
From 10 July 2018, the Guglielmo Hüffer Association is responsible, in sharing with the City Hall Rome I Center, for the care and maintenance of the historic garden of Piazza Benedetto Cairoli.
The members dedicated themselves from the first day to return to life and be able to attend the Garden both through daily cleaning and a real "reclamation" of the same, as it had become an open dump infested with rats. In fact, before our intervention this was in a state of total degradation and neglect and through gardening and cultural activities, such as courses and chess tournaments and book presentations, the Garden has returned to shine of its historical, artistic and natural beauty.
For this reason, the Association has decided to join the initiative of the APGI "The five senses in the Garden" on June 1 and 2, 2024.
During this occasion it will be possible to visit the Garden for free and participate in chess tournaments, thanks to the two wrought iron and polychrome marble chessboard that the Association has created and donated.
