Der Garten wurde 1984 um einen typischen Bauernhof einer heute nicht mehr existierenden Landwirtschaft angelegt, da nur noch tierische Zugantriebe zur Verfügung standen. Auf den 4 ha Wiesen, die wir mit dem Ziel einer möglichst hohen Biodiversität angelegt haben, haben wir einen Teich, viele Teiche und tausende von Bäumen Sträucher und Stauden.Die Gestaltung von Pfaden aus über 100 Bambusarten ermöglicht jeweils unterschiedliche Perspektiven und schafft einen Überraschungseffekt, der die Neugier des Besuchers weckt.
