What if, for the duration of a journey, we agreed to close our eyes to better open our senses?
This year, the castle of Miromesnil offers you a sensitive and human experience: a journey where sighted visitors will be invited to voluntarily deprive themselves of the view in order to approach, with respect, the way in which visually impaired people perceive the world. Guided in complete safety, you will advance to the rhythm of perfumes, textures, sounds and variations of filtered light.
Under your fingers, the rough bark, the freshness of a leaf, the warmth of a stone will tell another story of the place. The rustling of water, the singing of birds, the cracking of gravel will become landmarks. This journey is not a game, but an invitation to empathy: understanding that seeing is not limited to the eyes, and that each sense can become a poetic window on the living.
Alone, with family or friends, come and experience this crossing out of sight, accompanied by our guides and people affected by visual impairment. Together, let’s make the garden a space for meeting, listening and sharing.
