Die Nacht ist nicht einfach der Moment, in dem die Stadt ausstirbt: Es ist ein politisches Territorium, in dem sich Herausforderungen kreuzen, die nicht immer in dieselbe Richtung weisen.
Erleuchten, Energie sparen, die biologische Vielfalt schützen, Sicherheit gewährleisten, allen ermöglichen, sie zu nutzen... Zwanzig Jahre nach den ersten Arbeiten zu diesem Thema, was bedeutet es heute, ein Recht auf die Nacht zu haben?

Edna Hernández González ist Architektin für Stadtplanung und Professorin am Institut für Geoarchitektur der Universität Westbretagne. Seine Arbeiten befassen sich mit dem nächtlichen Städtebau, insbesondere mit der Beziehung zwischen Stadtbeleuchtung und menschlichen Aktivitäten sowie deren Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt. Sie berücksichtigt die Geschlechterpraktiken im städtischen Raum und das Erlebnis des nächtlichen Spaziergangs in der Stadt.
Nicolas Houel hat einen Doktortitel in Stadtplanung und Gestaltung des nächtlichen Raums. Er ist der Gründer der Agentur für nächtliche Stadtplanung, dem Observatoire de la nuit, und ist assoziierter Forscher im AAU-Labor in Nantes. Er arbeitet an der Beteiligung der Bürger am Bau des öffentlichen Nachtbereichs.

Night is not simply the moment when the city goes extinct: it is a political territory where issues cross paths that do not always go in the same direction.
Lighting, saving energy, protecting biodiversity, ensuring safety, allowing everyone to use it... Twenty years after the first works on the subject, what does it mean today to be entitled to the night?

Edna Hernández González is an architect and urban planner, professor at the Institute of Geoarchitecture of the University of Western Brittany. His work focuses on nocturnal urban planning, in particular the relationship between urban lighting and human activities, as well as its impact on the environment. It takes into account gender practices in urban space and the experience of night walking in the city.
Nicolas Houel holds a PhD in urban planning and nocturnal space planning. He is the founder of the nocturnal urban planning agency l'Observatoire de la nuit, and is an associate researcher at the AAU laboratory in Nantes. He works on the participation of citizens in the construction of public space at night.

Edna Hernández González è un'architetto urbanista, docente presso l'Istituto di geoarchitettura dell'Università della Bretagna Occidentale. I suoi lavori si concentrano sull'urbanistica notturna, in particolare sulla relazione tra illuminazione urbana e attività umane, nonché sul suo impatto sull'ambiente. Tiene conto delle pratiche di genere nello spazio urbano e dell'esperienza della camminata notturna in città.
Nicolas Houel ha conseguito un dottorato in urbanistica e pianificazione dello spazio notturno. È il fondatore dell'agenzia di urbanistica notturna l'Osservatorio della notte, ed è ricercatore associato al laboratorio dell'AAU a Nantes. Lavora sulla partecipazione dei cittadini nella costruzione dello spazio pubblico notturno.

Sus trabajos se centran en el urbanismo nocturno, en particular en la relación entre la iluminación urbana y las actividades humanas, así como en su impacto sobre el medio ambiente. Tiene en cuenta las prácticas de género en el espacio urbano y la experiencia de la marcha nocturna en la ciudad.
