"I believe that there are historical figures capable of transforming our vision of the world, and who like compasses , allow us to determine ourselves. » Charlotte Filou
Passionate about stories digging into intimate and collective memory, actress and director Charlotte Filou chose to focus on an extraordinary personality, of dazzling courage and tenacity: Louise Michel.
French teacher, writer and revolutionary of the second half of the 19th century, Louise Michel is one of the rare women of her time to have a posterity. At the heart of her life, there is the event of the Paris Commune, her multiple imprisonments, her feminist and anarchist fight which she led until her death in 1905. She is above all a fascinating writer, leaving behind her a a moving testimony where his goodness is matched only by his revolt.
Charlotte wanted this show, adapted from the writer’s Memoirs, to carry a contagious vitality. From this vitality which is born from collective uprisings when they are carried by powerful, honest and upright hearts.
