Every Wednesday afternoon, the Memorial Ascq 1944 opens its doors for free from 1:30 pm to 5 pm.
A guided tour through the streets of Ascq is available at 3pm, upon reservation. Price € 3 (2 € reduced).
The guided route through the streets of Ascq allows you to discover the highlights of the tragedy to better understand the course of events: location of the sabotage, station square, center of Ascq.
Stops in front of some houses of massacred allow to better understand the sufferings of the victims and their families and the dread that knew the population of Ascq.
This allows to discover how the memory of the event was inscribed throughout the village (changes of street names, commemorative plaques).
The opportunity for transmission between (grandparents) parents and children to raise awareness of the history of the Second World War.
