Vanessa Brown ist eine multidisziplinäre kanadische Künstlerin, deren Arbeit den Körper und die Geschichte der Materialien erforscht. Seine Projekte zum Handwerk, zur Heilung und zu Ritualen haben seine Forschung natürlich auf die reichen Traditionen der Apotheke ausgerichtet.
Die Kreationen, die daraus entstanden sind, werden im CAC/Passages in einer Ausstellung Time after time gezeigt. Als Widerhall dieser Idee schlägt Vanessa Brown in der Apotheke eine lyrische Integration in ein Laborschaufenster vor. Sie bringt ihre Arbeit mit den Sammlungen des Museums ins Gespräch und erforscht die Verbindung zwischen zeitgenössischen Wellness-Methoden und dem kulturellen Erbe der Apothekermedizin.

Vanessa Brown is a multidisciplinary Canadian artist whose work explores the body and the history of materials. His projects on crafts, healing and rituals naturally oriented his research towards the rich traditions of apothecary.
The creations that have emerged will be the subject of an exhibition Time after time at CAC/Passages. In response to this, Vanessa Brown proposes, within the apothecary, a lyrical integration into a showcase of the laboratory. She brings her work into dialogue with the museum’s collections, exploring the link between contemporary wellness methods and the cultural heritage of apothecary remedies.

Vanessa Brown est une artiste canadienne pluridisciplinaire dont le travail explore le corps et l’histoire des matériaux. Ses projets portant sur l’artisanat, la guérison et les rituels ont naturellement orienté ses recherches vers les riches traditions de l’apothicairerie.
Les créations qui en ont émergé feront l’objet d’une exposition Time after time au CAC/Passages. En écho à celle-ci, Vanessa Brown propose, au sein de l’apothicairerie, une intégration lyrique dans une vitrine du laboratoire. Elle fait dialoguer son travail avec les collections du musée, explorant le lien entre les méthodes de bien-être contemporaines et l’héritage culturel des remèdes de l’apothicairerie.
