Laurent Vallotton
Do birds always have a melodious, benevolent song? And why do they sing at all? Do both males and females sing? Do they use instruments to make sounds? These are just some of the questions that Laurent Vallotton, ornithologist at Geneva's Natural History Museum, will answer, with examples provided by local species. It's also an opportunity to learn how to recognize the songs of some common species.
This lecture is organized as part of the exhibition Dialogues Insolites Petites histoires BioDivertissantes at the Bibliothèque de la Cité.
