Beyond the Arctic Circle, there lives a people, the Saami, whose survival depends on their close relationship with nature and animals. Their territory, Sápmi, formerly known as Lapland, stretches from Norway to the Kola Peninsula in Russia. During this workshop, we will explore the culture of this Indigenous people and create a painting and a drum as a tribute to their resilience in the face of climate change.
To ensure the best possible experience for all participants, no entry will be permitted after the activity has begun, so as not to disrupt the flow of the activity and the group. Tickets for latecomers will be redistributed before the start of the activity. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have reserved a ticket but are unable to attend, please contact the MEG ticket office (accueil.meg@geneve.ch) to free up your place and allow someone else to take part.

In collaboration with Maison Autochtone, an association that promotes Indigenous artists, knowledge, and respect for Indigenous Peoples.
Workshop led by Adriana Batalha, MEG educator, and Jo Morten Kaven, @jomokko19, Saami artist from Maison Autochtone.
