MEG is joining forces with the Festival cinémas d'Afrique Lausanne (FCAL), which will be held in Lausanne from 15 to 18 August 2024.
Geneva in the colonial world", a series of films for adults, children and teenagers is on offer between May and December, offering a different approach to the themes addressed by the exhibition.
Part of the programme has been co-constructed with the FCAL, which is sharing a few cinematic nuggets for the occasion.
LE MYSTÈRE DE WAZA By Claye Edou
Starring Axel Abessolo, Anthéricis, Barthélemy Doulanin
Abdul, Bilama, Moudio and Nguiamba, four Cameroonian friends from their youth in Yaoundé, are now students at the brand new Université Scientifique du Sahel. Intrigued by mysterious disappearances from their school, they decide to investigate. Their investigation leads them to the heart of a veritable archaeological treasure trove in the region: the Waza National Park.

Le MEG s’associe avec le Festival cinémas d’Afrique Lausanne (FCAL) qui se tiendra du 15 au 18 août 2024 à Lausanne.
Dans le cadre de l’exposition temporaire « Mémoires. Genève dans le monde colonial », un cycle de films pour adultes, enfants et adolescents vous est proposé entre le mois de mai et le mois de décembre afin de pouvoir approcher autrement les thématiques abordées par l’exposition.
Une partie de la programmation a été co-construite avec le FCAL qui partage quelques pépites cinématographiques pour l’occasion.
LE MYSTÈRE DE WAZA

Avec Axel Abessolo, Anthéricis, Barthélemy Doulanin
Abdul, Bilama, Moudio et Nguiamba, quatre amis camerounais depuis leur jeunesse à Yaoundé, sont désormais étudiants à la toute nouvelle Université Scientifique du Sahel construite dans le grand Nord. Intrigués par des disparitions mystérieuses dans leur établissement, ils décident de mener l'enquête… Celle-ci les conduira au coeur du parc de Waza, où sans le savoir, ils vont résoudre la plus vieille énigme archéologique de l’histoire du Cameroun, « Un mystère que même les colons n’ont pas pu résoudre » relate Claye Edou.
