The paper, we crumple it, we throw it away, we forget it. Agnès Renaud, she sees in it an organic and very lively matter. Third part of the triptych B.A.K., Blanc(s) makes the fold a founding gesture, one that shapes matter and connects humans to the world they inhabit. On stage, pleated structures erect an immersive space where poetry settles without forcing. Two performers in movement dialogue with a live cello, the sheet unfolds, the light shimmers, something that resembles life circulates. Alexis Mérat, a paper scraper artist, has opened up an unexpected way for the director to reach very young audiences, without any simplification or decorative effect. A show at the height of amazement.
