8 March – PBA celebrates International Women’s Day

On the eve of the closing of its exhibition on March 11, the PBA opens its doors for a free and unprecedented day to celebrate together the International Women’s Day.

12h30-13h30: Midi-Regard with Amandine Fredon, director of the series Music Queens, as part of Series Mania OFF.
In partnership with the festival Série Mania OFF, follow Amandine Fredon, director of the animated series Music Queens broadcast on Arte, during a visit MIDI REGARD which at the entrance of the galleries of the museum can tell you about her career, and her inspirations.
14h and 18h30: 1st performance - Les Femmes d'Archée, participatory piece by Mylène Benoit/ Cie Contour Progressive
Throughout the month of February, 12 Lille women aged 18 to 80 created, with the choreographer Mylène Benoit, a contemporary piece on the ancestral power of women: Les Femmes d'Archée. The first participatory piece conceived in situ for the Palais des Beaux-Arts, this strong and striking moment will not leave anyone indifferent.

14h30-19h30: Continuous screening of the Music Queens d'Arte series at the Auditorium of the Palais des Beaux-Arts
This series is about 20 hits that we sang and danced on. But did we really understand the meaning and the impact? How did Cindy Lauper’s Girls Just Want To Have Fun become a feminist anthem? How did Beth Ditto of Gossip impose a new female model? Discover its essential women of the music industry thanks to this colorful series, accessible to all!
18h-20h: route What woman are you?
Follow our new mediation path to discover which woman in our collections suits you the most and leave with her reproduction as a souvenir. The opportunity to visit one last time the exhibition Where are the women? before its closing on March 11!
7:30 pm – 9:30 pm: DJ set with the collective
Get ready to vibrate in the basement of the Palais des Beaux-Arts with 2H of DJ set! A member of the collective Laisse Tomber Les Filles, Zaatar has established himself on the dark disco scene in France and the revival of EBM music. Temporary showroom/ Level -2.
