Pointe-à-Pitre ist seit drei Jahrhunderten dem Meer zugewandt. Sie wurde um ihren Hafen herum geboren und lebt in einem außergewöhnlichen Gewässer, das lange vor der französischen Besiedlung von Guadeloupe im 17. Jahrhundert von Indianern bewohnt wurde.
Der Seehafen genießt eine strategische geographische Lage im Zentrum der Insel, geschützt am Ende einer ebenso bemerkenswerten Bucht.
Es ist der Haupthafen von Guadeloupe, der sich über das Gebiet von Jarry erstrecken wird, um den weltweiten maritimen Anforderungen ab 1970 gerecht zu werden.
Die Ausstellung «Pointe-à-Pitre, zwischen Himmel und Meer» gehört zum Thema der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes 2024. Denn sie erzählt die Geschichte und den Reichtum des Hafenerbes der Stadt Pointe-à-Pitre.

Pointe-à-Pitre has been looking to the sea for three centuries. It was born and lives around its port, an exceptional lake, frequented long before the French colonization of Guadeloupe in the seventeenth century by the Amerindians.
The seaport enjoys a strategic geographical location in the center of the island, sheltered at the bottom of an equally remarkable bay.
It is the main port of Guadeloupe that will expand on the area of Jarry to meet the world maritime requirements from 1970.
The exhibition «Pointe-à-Pitre, entre ciel et mer» is part of the theme of the European Heritage Days 2024. Because it tells the story and the wealth of the port heritage of the City of Pointe-à-Pitre.

Il porto marittimo gode di una posizione geografica strategica nel centro dell'isola, riparato in fondo ad una baia altrettanto notevole.
È il porto principale della Guadalupa che si estenderà sulla zona di Jarry per soddisfare le esigenze marittime mondiali a partire dal 1970.
La mostra «Pointe-à-Pitre, tra cielo e mare» si inserisce nel tema delle Giornate Europee del Patrimonio 2024. Infatti, racconta la storia e la ricchezza del patrimonio portuale della Città di Pointe-à-Pitre.

Le port maritime jouit d'une situation géographique stratégique au centre de l’île, abrité au fond d'une baie tout aussi remarquable.
C'est le port principal de la Guadeloupe qui va s’étendre sur la zone de Jarry pour répondre aux exigences maritimes mondiales à partir de 1970.
L'exposition « Pointe-à-Pitre, entre ciel et mer » s’inscrit dans le thème des Journées Européennes du patrimoine 2024. Car, elle relate l'histoire et la richesse du patrimoine portuaire de la Ville de Pointe-à-Pitre.
