Der Begriff «Ikone», ursprünglich ein von der orthodoxen Kirche verehrtes Bild, ist längst von der religiösen in die weltliche Welt übergegangen: Einige historische Persönlichkeiten haben den Rang von Ikonen erreicht, bevor die Welt der Darsteller ihren Platz im Pantheon der Bilder einnimmt. Aber wie definiert man eine Ikone? Was verbindet Christus mit Che, Jeanne d'Arc mit Marilyn Monroe, Napoleon mit Diego Maradona? Wie wird man zur Ikone? Mit einer Auswahl von 150 Exponaten, die beliebte Bilder, Fotografien, illustrierte Zeitschriften und Zeitungen und andere Nebenprodukte umfassen, verfolgt diese Ausstellung die Entwicklung der Darstellung von Ikonen durch die Epochen unter dem Prisma großer Figuren, Religionen, Militär, Kunst oder Sport. Rund um diese Ausstellung und für die Tage des Denkmals empfängt Sie das Team des Museums das ganze Wochenende über mit freiem Eintritt. Auf dem Programm stehen Führungen und typografische Workshops unter der Leitung von Papier Gachette (Straßburg).

The term «icon», originally referring to an image venerated by the Orthodox Church, has long passed from the religious sphere to the secular world: some historical figures have been able to reach the rank of icons, before the world of entertainment took their place in the pantheon of images. But how to define an icon? What connects Christ to Che, Joan of Arc to Marilyn Monroe, Napoleon to Diego Maradona? How does one become an icon? Through a selection of 150 pieces gathering popular images, photographs, magazines and illustrated newspapers and other products, this exhibition retraces the evolution of the representation of icons through the ages under the prism of great figures, religious, military, artistic or sporting. Around this exhibition, and for the Heritage Days, the museum team welcomes you all weekend with free admission. On the program: guided tours and typographic workshops led by Papier Gachette (Strasbourg).

Il termine «icona», che designa in origine un'immagine venerata dalla Chiesa ortodossa, è da tempo passato dalla sfera religiosa al mondo profano: alcuni personaggi storici hanno potuto accedere al rango di icone, prima che il mondo dello spettacolo prenda il loro posto nel pantheon delle immagini. Ma come definire un'icona? Cosa collega Cristo al Che, Giovanna d'Arco a Marilyn Monroe, Napoleone a Diego Maradona? Come si diventa un'icona? Attraverso una selezione di 150 pezzi che raggruppano immagini popolari, fotografie, riviste e giornali illustrati e altri prodotti derivati, questa mostra ripercorre l'evoluzione della rappresentazione delle icone attraverso le epoche sotto il prisma delle grandi figure, religiose, militari, artistiche o sportive. Intorno a questa mostra, e per le Giornate del Patrimonio, il team del museo vi accoglie tutto il weekend in ingresso libero. In programma: visite guidate e laboratori tipografici animati da Papier Gachette (Strasburgo).

El término «icono», que designa originalmente una imagen venerada por la Iglesia ortodoxa, ha pasado desde hace tiempo de la esfera religiosa al mundo profano: algunos personajes históricos han podido acceder al rango de iconos, antes de que el mundo del espectáculo tome su lugar en el panteón de las imágenes. ¿Pero cómo definir un icono? ¿Qué conecta a Cristo con el Che, Juana de Arco con Marilyn Monroe, Napoleón con Diego Maradona? ¿Cómo te conviertes en un icono? A través de una selección de 150 piezas que agrupan imágenes populares, fotografías, revistas y periódicos ilustrados y otros productos derivados, esta exposición describe la evolución de la representación de los iconos a través de las épocas bajo el prisma de grandes figuras, religiosas, militares, artísticas o deportivas. Alrededor de esta exposición, y para las Jornadas del Patrimonio, el equipo del museo le da la bienvenida todo el fin de semana en entrada libre. En el programa: visitas guiadas y talleres tipográficos animados por Papier Gachette (Estrasburgo).
