François-Pierre Chaumeton war ein Arzt und Botaniker, der am 20. September 1775 in Chouzé-sur-Loire geboren wurde.
Im Alter von 18 Jahren wurde er Chirurg in der westlichen Armee.
Der Arzt besucht Italien und begeistert sich für die antike, insbesondere griechische Literatur. Aber ein Feuer zerstört seine Bibliothek und alle seine Notizen.
Chaumeton kann die blutigen Szenen nicht ertragen und wird Apotheker im Gesundheitsdienst; er studiert gerne die botanischen und zoologischen Wunder.
Er arbeitete für den Encyclopädischen Laden, die Medizinische Bibliothek, das Weltjournal der Medizinischen Wissenschaften und verschiedene andere Publikationen.
Er beteiligte sich an der medizinischen Flora an der Seite von Jean Louis Marie Poiret (1755-1834).
Er ist vor allem der Herausgeber des Wörterbuchs der medizinischen Wissenschaften, das ihm der Herausgeber Panckouke anvertraut.
Chaumeton ist die Abkürzung seines botanischen Namens.
Wir wollten seine Arbeit als Botaniker durch eine Ausstellung in der Abtei Saint-Pierre-de-Boubeil bekannt machen. Sehr schöne Werke der medizinischen Flora sind in der Stadtbibliothek Jean Chamboissier in Bourgueil erhalten.

Chaumeton, a Bougueillois botanist
Born in Bourgueillois, François-Pierre Chaumeton was a doctor and botanist born on September 20, 1775 in Chouzé-sur-Loire.
He became a surgeon at the age of 18 in the Western army.
The doctor visits Italy and is passionate about ancient literature, especially Greek. But a fire destroyed his library and all his notes.
Hyperemotional, Chaumeton could not stand the bloody scenes and became a pharmacist in the health service; he liked to study the botanical and zoological wonders.
He then worked for the Encyclopedic Store, the Medical Library, the Universal Journal of Medical Sciences and various other publications.
He participated in the Flore médicale alongside Jean Louis Marie Poiret (1755-1834).
He is above all the editor of the Dictionary of Medical Sciences entrusted to him by the publisher Panckouke.
Chaumeton is the abbreviation of his name in botany.
We wanted to make his botanist work known through an exhibition in the Saint-Pierre-de-Bourgueil Abbey. Beautiful works of medical flora are kept in the Jean Chamboissier public library of Bourgueil.

Nato il 20 settembre 1775 a Chouzé-sur-Loire, François-Pierre Chaumeton è un medico e botanico.
Divenne chirurgo all'età di 18 anni nell'esercito occidentale.
Il medico visita l'Italia e si appassiona alla letteratura antica, in particolare greca. Ma un incendio distrugge la sua biblioteca e tutti i suoi appunti.
Iperemotivo, Chaumeton non può sopportare le scene sanguinose e diventa farmacista al servizio della salute; si diverte a studiarne le meraviglie botaniche e zoologiche.
Lavorò per il Negozio enciclopedico, la Biblioteca medica, la Gazzetta universale delle scienze mediche e varie altre pubblicazioni.
Partecipò alla Flora medica a fianco di Jean Louis Marie Poiret (1755-1834).
È soprattutto il redattore del Dizionario delle scienze mediche che gli affida l'editore Panckouke.
Chaumeton è l'abbreviazione del suo nome in botanica.
Volevamo far conoscere i suoi lavori di botanico attraverso una mostra all'interno dell'abbazia di Saint-Pierre-de-Bouriel. Bellissime opere di flora medica sono conservate nella biblioteca comunale Jean Chamboissier di Bourgueil.
