Entdecken Sie die Geschichte des Steinbruchs, der seit dem 18. Jahrhundert für die Bedürfnisse der Industrie genutzt wurde und nach dem Ende der Kohle der Natur zurückgegeben wurde und heute ein außergewöhnliches Ökosystem bildet.
Die Ausstellung präsentiert zunächst die Geschichte des Barrois-Steinbruchs, dessen Sand zum Auffüllen der beim Kohleabbau hinterlassenen Hohlräume verwendet wurde, und erinnert an das zweite Leben des Geländes, das der Natur zurückgegeben wurde und heute eine außergewöhnliche Fauna und Flora beherbergt.

Discover the history of the quarry, exploited since the eighteenth century for the needs of industry, returned to nature after the end of coal, forming today an exceptional ecosystem.
The exhibition first presents the history of the Barrois quarry, whose sand was used to fill the gaps left by coal mining, before evoking the second life of the site, returned to nature and now home to exceptional flora and fauna.
