Das Schloss und seine Gesamtheit waren ursprünglich eine Komturei und ein Krankenhaus. Sie wurden von den Templern um 1119-1120 gebaut. Ab 1130 wird das Ensemble zur Herrschaft. Schloss Solange Sand, in dem sich das Rathaus befindet. Die Turmbilder von S. Sand wurden 2022 restauriert.
