A dozen MCs, beatmakers and beatboxers, along with dancers, are putting on a collaborative, participatory show bringing together artists from Switzerland and the contemporary Arabic-speaking scene.

Second Sunday Celebration at Le Béaba! This special day is presented in collaboration with Cross Rhymez, a programme of artistic exchanges and residency partnerships bringing together hip-hop artists from Geneva and Amman (Jordan).
DJs, beatboxers and dancers will take over Le Béaba to showcase the richness of Swiss and Arabic-speaking hip-hop, exploring the echoes between their respective scenes and revealing how their artistic worlds meet, respond to one another and create something new together. The musical dialogue unfolds continuously: transitions emerge through improvisation, spontaneous collaborations and ever-evolving soundscapes, with each set flowing seamlessly into a shared collective narrative.
Rather than presenting a series of separate artistic identities, this takeover is conceived as a space where exchange itself becomes the performance. It embodies the spirit of Cross Rhymez by placing collaboration, collective creation and encounters between artistic languages, generations and influences centre stage.

Children’s disco
Before the takeover, dancer and DJ Nader will invite children and their families on a playful, energetic and participatory musical adventure. Blending disco, funk, house and rhythm-driven selections inspired by artists from across the Arab world, Nader creates an accessible and joyful introduction to music and movement. Both DJ and performer, he regularly leaves the decks to join the dancefloor, encouraging direct interaction and audience participation.
Conceived as a shared experience where music, dance and play come together, this family-friendly event offers a warm and welcoming introduction to hip-hop culture in its most physical, festive and joyful form.

Deuxième dimanche de fête au Béaba de La Bâtie ! Cette journée spéciale est proposée en collaboration avec Cross Rhymez, dispositif de jumelages artistiques et de résidences croisées entre artistes hip-hop de Genève et de Amman (Jordanie).
DJs, beatboxeur·ses et danseur·ses investissent les espaces du Béaba pour vous faire découvrir le meilleur des scènes suisse et arabophone, explorer leurs résonances et voir comment leurs univers se rencontrent, se répondent et créent ensemble. Le dialogue musical est continu : les transitions se construisent à travers improvisation, collaborations spontanées et paysages sonores en constante évolution. Les différents sets se fondent alors dans un récit collectif unique.
Ce takeover du Béaba n'est pas pensé comme une vitrine d'identités artistiques distinctes, mais comme un espace où l'échange devient lui-même la forme principale de la performance. Il incarne l'esprit de Cross Rhymez en mettant au premier plan la collaboration, la création collective et la rencontre entre différents langages artistiques, générations et influences.

Boum pour enfants
Avant le début du takeover, le danseur et DJ Nader invite les enfants et leurs familles à partager un voyage musical ludique, énergique et participatif. Avec un mélange de disco, de funk, de house et de sélections rythmiques inspirées d'artistes du monde arabe, Nader propose une porte d'entrée accessible et dynamique vers la musique et le mouvement. À la fois DJ et performer, il quitte régulièrement les platines pour rejoindre la piste de danse, favorisant l'interaction directe et la participation du public.
Pensé comme un moment de partage où se rencontrent musique, danse et jeu, ce rendez-vous offre une introduction ouverte et conviviale à la culture hip-hop, dans sa dimension la plus physique, festive et joyeuse.
