On 8 October at Foound, Geneva, Action de Carême and SWISSAID invite you to discover how agroecology is tackling hunger and the climate crisis, from Kenya to Geneva.

Action de Carême
This event offers an opportunity to discover how agroecology can make a tangible contribution to combating hunger and the climate crisis. Key figures from the Sufosec Alliance’s 2026 World Food Report, based on data from over 12,000 households across 16 countries, will help to gauge its impact on food security.
The event will also give a voice to those on the ground through the testimony of the coordinator of Fastenopfer’s Kenya programme, whilst highlighting the vital role of women in agriculture. Finally, an examination of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Peasants (UNDROP) will help us understand how rights can provide sustainable support for these transformations.
Consecutive interpreting from English into French will be provided for the Kenyan representative’s presentation.

Action de Carême
Cet événement propose de découvrir comment l’agroécologie peut concrètement contribuer à lutter contre la faim et la crise climatique. Les chiffres clés du Rapport mondial sur l’alimentation 2026 de l’alliance Sufosec, fondés sur les résultats de plus de 12 000 ménages dans 16 pays, permettront de mesurer ses effets sur la sécurité alimentaire.
La rencontre donnera également la parole au terrain avec le témoignage de la coordinatrice du programme Kenya d’Action de Carême, tout en mettant en lumière le rôle essentiel des femmes dans l’agriculture. Enfin, un éclairage sur la Déclaration des Nations Unies sur les droits des paysan·nes (UNDROP) permettra de comprendre comment les droits peuvent soutenir durablement ces transformations.
Une interprétation consécutive anglais-français sera assurée pour l’intervention de la représentante kenyane.
