Seit fünfzehn Jahren hinterfragt und umarmt Sara Parkman die Traditionen mit Offenheit und Finesse. Sie schuf ihr eigenes musikalisches Universum und wurde zu einer der wichtigsten Persönlichkeiten der zeitgenössischen schwedischen Volksmusik.
Die Musik von Sara Parkman pendelt mühelos zwischen dem Heiligen und dem Rauen, zwischen dem Intimen und dem Nebel des Waldes bei nächtlichen Raves. Violinistin, Sängerin und Komponistin seit über fünfzehn Jahren, setzt sie sich weiterhin dafür ein, die Grenzen der Volksmusik neu zu definieren. Heute kehrt sie mit Eros, agape, philia zurück - einem Album rund um die Liebe und den Körper.
Sein erstes Soloalbum, Sara Parkmans Skog ("Sara Parkman’s Forest", 2016) , hatte ihm den Titel "Künstler des Jahres" während der Folk & Världsmusikgalan eingebracht, einer schwedischen Zeremonie, die sich der Folk- und Weltmusik widmet. Im folgenden Jahr hatte sie ihr zweites Album veröffentlicht, Matriarkerna ("Les matriarches") ist eine Hommage-CD, die in Zusammenarbeit mit ihrer Freundin, der Folk-Musikerin Samantha Ohlanders, entstanden ist. Aber der bisher am meisten gefeierte Auftritt von Sara Parkman bleibt Vesper ("Vesper", 2019). Benannt nach dem christlichen Abendgebet ist es ein Album, das dem Heiligen gewidmet ist. Er wurde von der Kritik begeistert aufgenommen und mit mehreren Preisen ausgezeichnet, darunter dem Prix culturel du quotidien. Dagens Nyheter.
Mit Eros, agape, philia spielt Sara Parkman mit drei antiken griechischen Wörtern, die verschiedene Formen der Liebe bezeichnen: Eros, die romantische oder erotische Liebe; Agape, die göttliche Liebe; und Philia, die freundschaftliche oder familiäre Liebe. Das Ergebnis ist eine Schallplatte, die in allen Sprachen der Liebe menschliche Zärtlichkeit flüstert. Er spricht vom Verlangen, von der Hoffnung, von den stillen Wünschen. Vom Betäuben, das aus der Angst herrührt, ebenso wie von der Sanftheit des Schaumkontakts. Kurzlebige Liebe und Selbstvergessenheit. Hingabe, Trägheit, Zweifel.
Tradition oder Innovation, Zimmer oder Nachtclub; Parkmans Musik ist niemals etwas oder sein Gegenteil, sondern eine Mischung aus mehreren Elementen, die manchmal als gegensätzlich wahrgenommen werden, aber eine seltsame und perfekte Harmonie schaffen.

Sara Parkman’s music moves with ease between the sacred and the raw, between the intimate and the mist of the forest during night raves. Violinist, singer and composer for more than fifteen years, she continues to shake up and redraw the boundaries of folk music. Today, she is back with Eros, agape, philia – an album about love and the body.
His first solo album, Sara Parkmans Skog ("Sara Parkman’s Forest", 2016) , had earned him the title of "Artist of the Year" at the Folk & Världsmusikgalan, a Swedish ceremony dedicated to folk and world music. The following year, she had released her second album, Matriarkerna ("Les matriarches"), a tribute disc produced in collaboration with her friend, the folk musician Samantha Ohlanders. But Sara Parkman’s most acclaimed release to date remains Vesper ("Vespers", 2019). Named after the Christian evening prayer, it is an album dedicated to the sacred. It was greeted with enthusiasm by the critics and received several awards, including the Prix culturel du quotidien Dagens Nyheter.
With Eros, agape, philia, Sara Parkman plays with three ancient Greek words designating different forms of love: Eros, romantic or erotic love; Agape, divine love; and Philia, friendly or family love. The result is a record that whispers, in all the languages of love, human tenderness. He speaks of desire, of hope, of silent wishes. From the dizziness born of anxiety as much as from the gentleness of contact with the foam. Short-lived love and self-forgetfulness. Of abandonment, languor, doubt.

La musique de Sara Parkman circule avec aisance entre le sacré et le brut, entre l’intime et la brume de la forêt lors des raves nocturnes. Violoniste, chanteuse et compositrice depuis plus de quinze ans, elle continue de bousculer et redessiner les frontières de la musique folk. Aujourd’hui, elle revient avec Eros, agape, philia – un album autour de l’amour et du corps.
