À l’occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine, la Saline royale d'Arc-et-Senans propose une visite-conférence de 30 minutes sur le thème de l'« Histoire insolite du monument au XXe siècle, de l'abandon aux grands projets », samedi 21 septembre et dimanche 22 à 10h30, 12h00, 15h30, 16h00, 16h30 et 17h.
Rendez-vous salle Migeon, dans le bâtiment des Berniers est, au rez-de-chaussée.
Après l’arrêt de la production de sel en janvier 1895, la cité ouvrière n’a plus guère d’utilité et les perspectives de reclassification du site ne sont pas facilitées par les crises économiques et les guerres qui se succèdent. Pourtant, de multiples projets seront envisagés afin de sauvegarder et réemployer les édifices : Haras national, silo de céréales, poulailler, orphelinat, cave à vin, etc.
À l’appui de nombreuses photos inédites, tirées de la photothèque de la Saline royale, et ponctuées d’anecdotes d’un guide conférencier, découvrez les péripéties qui ont émaillé l’histoire de la Saline, de son abandon à sa transformation en musée et centre culturel.
