Im Rahmen des Festivals Normandie Impressionniste und in Partnerschaft mit der Galerie Christophe Gaillard präsentiert der Frac Normandie eine neue Ausstellung, die dem österreichischen römischen Künstler Ceija Stojka gewidmet ist.
Als Malerin und Dichterin machte sie ihr Werk zu einer unverzichtbaren Zeugin des nationalsozialistischen Völkermords an den Roma. Durch mehr als 60 Werke, bestehend aus Zeichnungen, Gemälden oder Postkarten, zeichnet die Ausstellung die vergangenen Jahre in der KZ-Hölle nach, während Gemälde von idyllischen, bunten Landschaften ihr Leben als Nomade, glücklich und frei in einem Wohnwagen vor und nach dem Krieg darstellen.

As part of the Normandy Impressionist festival and in partnership with the gallery Christophe Gaillard, the Frac Normandie presents a new exhibition dedicated to the Austrian artist Ceija Stojka.
Painter and poet, her work made her an indispensable witness to the genocide of the Roma by the Nazis. Through more than 60 works composed of drawings, paintings or postcards, the exhibition retraces the years spent in the concentration camp hell, while paintings of idyllic colorful landscapes evoke his nomadic life, happy and free in a caravan before and after the war.

Nell'ambito del festival Normandie Impressionniste e in collaborazione con la galleria Christophe Gaillard, il Frac Normandie presenta una mostra inedita dedicata all'artista romena austriaca Ceija Stojka.
Pittrice e poetessa, la sua opera ha fatto di lei un testimone indispensabile del genocidio dei rom da parte dei nazisti. Attraverso più di 60 opere composte da disegni, dipinti o cartoline, la mostra ripercorre gli anni trascorsi nell'inferno dei campi di concentramento, mentre i dipinti di paesaggi colorati e idilliaci evocano la sua vita nomade, felice e libera in roulotte prima e dopo la guerra.

Peintre et poétesse, son œuvre a fait d’elle un témoin indispensable du génocide des Roms par les nazis. À travers plus de 60 œuvres composées de dessins, peintures ou cartes postales, l'exposition retrace les années passées dans l’enfer concentrationnaire, tandis que des peintures de paysages colorés idylliques, évoquent sa vie nomade, heureuse et libre en roulotte avant et après la guerre.

Pintora y poetisa, su obra la convirtió en una testigo indispensable del genocidio de los romá por parte de los nazis. A través de más de 60 obras compuestas por dibujos, pinturas o postales, la exposición relata los años pasados en el infierno de los campos de concentración, mientras que las pinturas de paisajes coloridos e idílicos evocan su vida nómada, feliz y libre en caravana antes y después de la guerra.
