Alauna wurde unter der Herrschaft von Augustus gegründet und war während des Hochreiches eine der wichtigsten antiken Siedlungen der heutigen Normandie. In den letzten Jahren wurde die Fundstelle intensiv archäologisch untersucht, was zu einer enormen Vertiefung der Kenntnisse über die alte Hauptstadt des Volkes der Unelles geführt hat.
Heute sind vor allem die imposanten Ruinen der Thermen und der Standort des Theaters mit Reihen erhalten.

The site has been the subject of intense archaeological research in recent years, which has greatly deepened the knowledge available about this ancient capital of the Unelles people.

Il sito è stato oggetto negli ultimi anni di intense ricerche archeologiche, che hanno permesso di approfondire enormemente le conoscenze di cui si dispone su questa antica capitale del popolo degli Unelles.
Di esso rimangono principalmente oggi le imponenti rovine delle terme e la posizione del teatro a gradoni.

El sitio ha sido objeto en los últimos años de intensas investigaciones arqueológicas, que han permitido profundizar enormemente los conocimientos disponibles sobre esta antigua capital del pueblo de las Unelles.
En la actualidad se conservan principalmente las imponentes ruinas de las termas y el emplazamiento del teatro escalonado.
Llevar calzado adecuado para caminar.
